Agreement to terms

By accessing or using ResumeRoast ("the Service"), operated by Cornerstone Consulting Group ABN 95 664 947 040, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

Description of service

ResumeRoast is an AI-powered resume review tool that analyses uploaded resumes and provides a score, feedback, and improvement suggestions. The Service uses artificial intelligence and should be treated as a guide, not as professional career advice. Results are generated by AI and may not always be perfectly accurate or applicable to your specific situation.

Acceptable use

When using ResumeRoast, you agree to:

Upload only resumes that you own or have permission to analyse. Not use the Service to process documents containing sensitive personal information beyond what is typically found in a resume (such as tax file numbers, bank account details, or medical records). Not attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the Service. Not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service. Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the scoring logic or AI prompts used by the Service.

Your content

You retain ownership of any resumes or job ad text you upload to the Service. By uploading content, you grant us a temporary, limited licence to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not store resume files after processing is complete.

Payments and refunds

Paid features are offered on either a one-off or subscription basis. Prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

One-off purchases: Single report purchases are non-refundable once the report has been generated and delivered. If a technical error prevents delivery, we will either re-process your report or issue a full refund.

Subscriptions: Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused portions of a billing period.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the feedback provided will result in job interviews, offers, or any specific employment outcome.

ResumeRoast is an AI-powered tool and is not a substitute for professional career coaching, recruitment advice, or human review. The scoring and feedback are generated algorithmically and may contain errors or suggestions that are not appropriate for every situation, industry, or role.

We are not responsible for any hiring decisions made by employers based on resumes modified using our feedback.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Cornerstone Consulting Group and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Availability

We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

Intellectual property

The ResumeRoast name, logo, scoring methodology, website design, and all associated intellectual property are owned by Cornerstone Consulting Group. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
